Uploading attachment files

Pentana MK Access will be required follow these steps.
This article explores two distinct approaches: overcoming the limitations of drag-and-drop for folders and utilising Library Document Types to seamlessly establish and organise digital repositories.
1. Attaching Files
- Open the system or application where you need to manage folders and files.
- Locate the Attachment screen or section where you usually handle files and folders.
- Create the desired folder in your system's file explorer or file management tool.
- Navigate to the newly created folder in your system's file explorer and open it.
- Within the opened folder, select the files or contents you want to attach or associate with the system.
- Go back to the Attachment screen in the system or application.
- Drag the selected contents from your system's file explorer and drop them into the attachment screen of the application.
- After dropping the contents, there should be an option to assign or link these files to a specific folder within the application. Choose the option to assign a folder.
- If the folder you want doesn't exist within the application, select OK. Please refer to the below section for more details.
- Once you have assigned the contents to a folder, select OK button to confirm the changes and association with the designated folder.
2. Creating a Folder Through Library Document Types:

Open the application and locate the Tools menu.

Within the Tools menu, find and select the Configuration option.

Look for the specific configuration section related to document types or libraries. Click on it to enter the configuration settings.

Within the configuration section, find the option for Defined List or a similar term.

Look for a category or section named General Items within the Defined Lists.

There should be an option to add a new item or folder. Click on this option to create a new folder.

After selecting the option to create a new folder, you might be prompted to define certain properties for the folder, such as a name or description.

Once you have defined the folder properties, look for a Save or Apply button to confirm and save the changes you made in the configuration.

After saving the configuration, navigate back to the main interface or file system where you intended to create the folder. Verify that the new folder now exists.
These steps should guide you through the process of handling folders and contents when drag/drop is not possible and creating folders through Library Document Types. Adjustments may be necessary based on the specific features and layout of your system or application.
