Audit creation and access settings

Elevated permissions are required.
This article outlines the configurable options for Audit creation and access settings within Audit Creation and Review.
1. Audit rights mode
This section allows the user to determine whether auditor’s permissions are only related to their user or roles rights or whether they can be elevated for a specific audit.
- Select the check box Audit rights mode
- With this check box selected Internal Audit will evaluate user assignments and will apply permissions for a particular audit based upon the role a user has for that audit.
- If the check box is not selected the standard user, roles and permissions for each user will be applied across all audits for that user.
- Select Submit changes to save the settings.
- The user must log out of Internal Audit and log back in for the settings to be applied.
- When Audit rights mode is enabled, certain user permissions are determined by their role assignments for each audit. This can have the effect of increasing or decreasing the user’s typical permissions and may cause some audits to be hidden to that user
Note: The permissions that are affected by this configuration option are marked with a red star (*) in the permission list.
Note: When audits and work programmes already exist in the database, extra care should be taken when making changes to this option. Please discuss with your Ideagen Internal Audit (Aura) Implementation Manager or the Support Team if there is any doubt about making this change.
2. Audit File Creation
This section allows the user to define how new audit files can be created. Select
- There are three options within Audit File Creation.

Selection from the schedule
- Users can only create new audit files for the audits that are currently active in the audit schedule

Selection from the default audit plan
- Users can create new audit files for the audits that are currently in the baselined audit plan

Manual selection of entity and audit period
- Users can create an unplanned audit that does not form part of the baselined audit plan nor been scheduled
- Select Submit changes to save the settings.
3. Audit Type
This section allows the user to determine if the Audit type is a mandatory field that needs to be completed when creating a new audit file.
- To activate select the check box
- When the Audit type is set to mandatory a user creating a new audit file will not be able to click Next to progress creation of the file until Audit type has been selected
- Select Submit changes to save the settings
- The user must log out of Internal Audit and log back in for the settings to be applied
4. Recommendations
- This section allows the user to determine if the recommendations presented in the Recommendations tab of the audit file will include only the current period or previous periods, by selecting the check box
