Creating a New Work Programme Template

This article outlines the process for creating a new Work Programme Template.
1. Creating a New Work Programme Template
- To create a Work Programme Template, select the ‘Create template’ icon from the functional toolbar within the Work Programme Template Designer window
- This will activate a wizard providing the user with three options
- Start with a new blank design
- Copy the design from an existing template
- Copy the design from a customised work programme
- If the user selects the option to Start with a new blank design they will be prompted to specify the template details such as the Name and associate the template with the relevant parts of the Audit Universe, for example, which Audits it is likely to be used on
- To associate the template to parts of the Audit Universe, select the dropdown arrow next to the Linked entities field and select the relevant level(s).
Note: Templates associated at the highest level of the Audit Universe level automatically cascade down to all the connected lower levels.
- In addition, it is also possible to define the type of Template being created. There are a number of different template types that can be designed these are

Standard Layout with Test Scores
- Allows the scoring at the Test level only

Standard Layout with Test and Control Scores
- Allows the scoring at Control level as well as the Test level

Standard Layout with initial Control Scores
- Allows a work programme score to be generated even if only Controls area assessed rather than Controls and Tests

Risk Control Matrix with Test Scores
- Allows the user to create a Risk Control matrix with scoring at the Test level only

Risk Control Matrix with Test and Control Scores
- Allows the user to create a Risk Control matrix with scoring at the Control and Test level only

Risk Control Matrix with Initial Scores
- Allows the user to create a Risk Control matrix where a work programme score will be generated even if only the Control level is assessed
- If required additional Notes can be added, although this is not a mandatory field
- Select Finish to complete the wizard and the Work Programme Template will automatically open
- Selecting the option Copy the design from an existing template will prompt the user to select a template to copy
Note: Please note that the user can also choose from the tick box options to Show retired templates or Show audit customised templates.

Highlight the relevant template to copy and then select Next

The user will then be prompted to specify the template name and associate it with parts of the Audit Universe it might be used for
- Enter a Name for the template and associate the relevant sections of the Audit Universe by selecting the drop-down arrow
- Templates associated at the highest level of the Audit Universe automatically cascade down to all the connected lower levels.
- Select the relevant Template type and then select Finish to complete the wizard and open up the template with the existing template information
- Selecting the option to Copy the design from a customised work programme will allow the the user to use a work programme that has been previously customised during the audit process. When this option is chosen the user will then be prompted to select a work programme to copy
- The user can use the Work Programme filters option to filter as required including the tick box option to Show Work Programmes from audits that I am not assigned to
- Highlight the relevant Work Programme to copy and then select Next.
- The user will then be prompted to specify the template Name and associate it with the relevant parts of the Audit Universe it might be used for
- To associate the templates to parts of the Audit Universe, select the drop-down arrow to the right of the Linked entities field and select the relevant levels
- Templates associated with the highest level of the Audit Universe automatically cascade down to all the connected lower levels.
- Select the relevant Linked audit types to associate the template to the audit type. The audit types can be configured in

- Configuration
- Defined Lists
- Audit
- Audit Types
- Select the relevant Template type and then select Finish to complete the wizard and open up the template with all existing information
