1. Aims and Objectives
- The Business User Portal is primarily an online extension of the Recommendation/Action Tracking module within Pentana, but using different license types, can also allow access to Controls Management and Time & Expenses Recording.
- Users accessing this web-based portal are typically referred to as Business Users, or Auditees, who need to have access to track and update Recommendations or Actions they are responsible for.
- Commensurate with the client application accessed by Audit Users, Pentana provides the ability to configure the core methodology of the Business User Portal to ensure that all types of users are governed in terms of access and usage rights.
- Typically, this feature is managed by an Audit (or Risk) System Administrator, though specific permissions can be afforded to experienced Business Users for them to manage certain aspects directly. To learn about such permissions, please refer to the Version 12.0 Business User Portal Access Permissions document.
- The aim of this document is to outline each of the configurable components that are available in the Business User Portal, clarify their use and explain how to apply changes when necessary
