1. An item can be added to the Audit Universe by selecting the   Add item icon. This will then present the user with two options
   1. Add sub item to selection
   2. Add item at same level as selection.

2. Add sub item to selection will create a new sub item that is linked to the currently selected item.

3. Add item at same level as selection will create a new item at the same level as the currently selected item.

4. Once an item has been created, within the Details section, enter the Name and, if required, Description of the relevant item.
5. The expand icon the top right-hand corner of the description field can be selected to open up the text editor window.  This includes formatting tools such as cut, copy and paste and a spellchecker:

6. The Type dropdown list allows the user to categorise the items in the Audit Universe. Each of the types in the list can then be linked to a metadata template to allow custom fields to be added to items corresponding to their type.
7. A default Type can be selected via the Default type for new items dropdown menu. This type will then be automatically applied to new items.

8. Users can also choose to further classify the different sections of the Entity Universe structure using an Icon.
