Elevated permissions are not required.
This article provides an overview of Notification Template Permissions within Business User Portal.
1. Notification Template Permissions
Notification templates can be maintained in the Template Designer module within the client application.
-
Activate templates
- This permission allows users to Activate a Notification template, which will immediately instigate the conditions of the alert that has been defined.
-
Create templates
- This permission allows users to create new Notification templates and copy an existing Notification template.
-
De-activate templates
- This permission allows users to suspend a Notification template that is currently Active. Suspending a Notification template will cease all alerting associated with that Notification.
-
Edit templates
- This permission allows users to edit existing Notification templates that are in Draft or Active status. There is not a configurable Review Policy for Notification templates. Users with the permission to edit can do so against an Active Notification, which will remain Active after editing, even if the additional permission to Activate templates is denied.
-
Export templates
- This permission allows users to export Notification templates outside the Internal Audit MK database.
-
Import templates
- This permission allows users to import Notification templates into the Internal Audit MK database.
-
Remove template user locks
- This permission allows a user to remove the edit lock against a Notification template that resides in another user’s local store. When removing an edit lock, all changes applied by the initial user will be lost.
-
Restore retired templates to active use
- This permission allows users to restore Notification templates that have previously been Retired. Templates that have been restored in this way will also need to be Activated for the associated alerting to commence.
-
Retire templates
- This permission allows users to Retire Notification templates that are in Draft or Active status. All alerting associated with a template will cease immediately once it has been retired.
-
View templates
- This permission allows users to view and open all Notification templates in read-only format.
