Introducing the redesigned Entity Universe configuration tool for both Audit and Risk. This update removes previous restrictions on the number of levels allowed and the placement of levels within the hierarchy, providing greater flexibility and control over structural configurations.
1. Overview
A redesign of the Entity Universe configuration tool for both Audit and Risk, removes prior restrictions against the number of levels allowed and the placement of levels within the hierarchy.
Via the drag-and-drop utility, users can easily relocate entire universe entities from one location to another and see those changes reflected immediately in all areas of the system. In doing so there are no longer restrictions in place requiring entities to remain at the same level in the hierarchy. For example, an entity that was previously situated at level 1 within the hierarchical universe structure can now be moved to a lower level within any existing or newly created entity.
2. User guide
- Go to Tools, then Configuration, followed by Audit Universe.
- Click on Add Item, where you'll see two options: Add Sub Item to Selection or Add Item at Same Level as Selection.
- Previously, labels used to differentiate structure levels are now found in a Type drop-down list.
- You can set a default type for new items added to the Entity Universe.
- Each type has its own set of metadata fields.
- When the system is upgraded, it will automatically populate with details already present at the lowest level of the Universe structure. Additional metadata can be added and managed using Template Designer.
- System Configuration settings, which previously controlled the number of levels allowed, now determine how many levels are displayed as visible columns in search results.
