Installation & configuration of Web Service (IIS) - Standard Authentication and Active Directory

Administrative access to the web server is required.
This article details Appendix 2 – Installation & configuration of Web Service (IIS).
1. Windows Server 2008 R2
- Install .NET Framework 4.6.1, available from www.micrososft.com/downloads
- In the Server Manager interface, click Roles to display all the installed Roles in the right-hand pane. Verify that Web Service (IIS) is listed.
- If it is listed, verify that the required Role Services are installed:
- Static Content
- Default Document
- ASP.NET
- Windows Authentication
- If it is not listed, perform steps below to add and configure the Web server (IIS) role:
- From the Server Manager interface, click Add Roles.
- Complete the Add Role Wizard following the selections shown in the screenshots below:
2. Windows Server 2012
- In the Server Manager interface, click Add Roles and Features to display all the installed components. Verify that Web Service (IIS) is listed.
- If it is listed, verify that the required Role Services are installed:
- Static Content
- Default Document
- ASP.NET
- Windows Authentication
- If it is not listed, perform steps below to add and configure the Web server (IIS) role:
- From the Server Manager interface, click Add Roles.
- Complete the Add Role Wizard following the selections shown in the screenshots below:
