This article outline the process of creating and Application User account used in the process of installing Ideagen Internal Audit MK 12.0 requires an application user account under which the IIS Web Site runs, and with which access to the SQL Database is controlled. There are three types of user account which may be used, ApplicationPoolIdentity, Local User Accounts and Domain user accounts. These steps will demonstrate how to install and configure MKinsight using local user accounts.
1. Creating Application User Account
- On the SQL Server and web server if using separate servers for the roles, create a local Windows user account MKinsight_User.
- Deselect the options user must change password at next login and tick password never expires.
- Enter a password for the user account.
Important Note: This password will be required when installing other components of MKinsight, but it will not be required by the end-users to operate the software.
