Work programme not visible to select in audit
Who is this article for?Administrators who need to troubleshoot the visibility of work programmes in audits.
Administrative access to the template designer is required.
This article details how to resolve visibility issues for work programmes in audits by ensuring proper associations and settings. Follow these steps to troubleshoot and fix the issue.
1. Troubleshooting Work Programme Visibility in Audits
- When a work programme is not visible in the audit, it may be due to the way the audit has been created.
- Navigate to Template Designer
- Work Programmes
- Show All Templates.
- Select and open the relevant work programme and select the Properties tab.
-
- This will display the Work Programme Template Properties screen.
1.1. Linked Entities
- One reason why a template may not be visible in an audit is that the work programme template is already active and in use, but the newly created audit is not associated with any of the linked entities in the template properties.
- To resolve this, use the drop-down button to display the list of entities and select the relevant entity.
- Select OK.
- Save and Close.
- Following the change to an active template, the template will need to go through the review process again (e.g. re-reviewed and marked as active).
- Return to the audit.
- Work programme tab.
- Select Add Template to view the list of templates.
1.2. Linked Audit Types:
- Audits using audit types will require the audit to be linked to the entity and the associated audit type for the work programme template(s) to be visible for selection.
- For example, if the audit is only associated with the audit type Internal Audit, while the work programme template is linked to audit types (and sub-entities) (e.g. Standard Audit, Information System Admin, and Key Control Review) the programme will not be visible in the audit.
Note: The audit type needs to be associated during the audit creation. Adding the audit type retrospectively (e.g. after the audit has been created) will have no impact or change.
- There are two options:
- Edit the work programme template by navigating to properties
- Linked audit types using the drop-down button to edit.
- ecreate the audit using the correct linked audit types.
Note: Always ensure that the correct associations are made during audit creation to avoid visibility issues in the future.
