Administrators who need to manage metadata templates for audits.

Access to the Template Designer is required.

This article details how to export and import an 'Audit' metadata template between the Training and Live/Production databases. Follow these steps to manage templates efficiently.

1. Exporting the metadata template

1. In Template Designer, select the Metadata tab.
2. Select the Import / Export feature.
3. Export Templates.
4. Choose a specific location to save the mkmt file.

5. Select Next to choose the relevant metadata template where the linked type is set as Audit.

Note: The metadata template needs to be held on the server so it can be selected from the list.

6. Step 3

Select Finish then Close to complete the steps.

2. Importing the metadata template

1. In the Live Production database, import the newly created file.
2. In Template Designer, select the Metadata tab.
3. Select the Import / Export feature.
4. Import Templates.
5. Select Browse
6. Choose the mkmt file saved in the specified location.
7. Select Open.
8. Choose Next.
9. Activate the checkbox.

Note: You may see a triangle/exclamation mark symbol if there is already an existing active template for the same type.

10. Select Finish.
11. Close to complete the process.
