Administrative access to the SQL server is required.
This article details how to edit notification templates by adding or modifying hyperlinks within the template content. Following these steps will ensure that your notification templates include accurate and functional links for users.
1. Editing a hyperlink within a notification template
- Open the notification template, (e.g. Rec Update Request)
- Select the E-mail designer tab.
- Select the relevant area containing the hyperlink (e.g. ContentArea 1)
- Once selected, the chosen ContentArea will display a red border around the cell or area.
- In the Properties section on the right-hand side, under Appearance, click on Text (HTML format).
- Click the button to edit, which will open the Text value editor.
- Place the cursor in the desired location to add the hyperlink in the text editor.
- Select the Hyperlink tab to insert the hyperlink.
- Update the Insert Hyperlink fields accordingly.
- Select OK.
Note: Be careful when removing or editing text using the copy and paste feature, as deleting expressions (shown as faint blue lines) will render the notification unusable.
- Save, close, and submit changes to commit them to the server.
