Audit Management: Error message
Who is this article for?Users accessing the Audit Management module and encountering error messages.
Access to the Audit Management module is required.
This article details the error message users may see when accessing the Audit Management module and how to address it.
1. Understanding the error message
When accessing the Audit Management module, users may see the following error message.
The message indicates the lock has been removed from the audit stored locally.
The only option for the file is to delete it from the local store, as there is no associated lock required to submit changes to the database.
Once deleted, the audit can be downloaded and opened for editing based on the last saved version on the server.
Note: The audit may not be available for editing if it is opened by another user; therefore, only a read-only copy can be downloaded until the lock has been removed following a secure backup of the audit.
2. Identifying who removed the lock
- This information can be obtained by navigating to
- Tools.
- View the Event Log.
- Action Type.
- Select Audit.
- Select Remove lock.
- Where it states Entity ID, enter the audit’s unique reference number, if known.
- Click on Search Logs.
- The results will show who removed the lock in the User column.
