Who is this article for?Users who want to update the database mapping of the client application
No elevated permissions are required.
This article outlines the process for users seeking to rectify database mapping issues in the client application without requiring elevated permissions. If incorrect connection details were entered during the initial setup, resulting in a mapping error between Live and Training databases.
1. System Setup and Configuration
- When first configuring the client application, the system will request the connection details for the database you wish to connect to. Once these details are provided and the configuration is saved, the client will connect to the relevant database and allow the user to log in.
This process must be completed for the Live and Training databases.
- In some cases the incorrect connection details may have been entered for each database. For example, if the user selected Live from the available options, but entered the connection details for Training, the system will map the shortcut to the wrong database.
2. Updating the Database Mapping of the Client Application
- This can be resolved by reverting the connection details, and re-entering them correctly. To do so, log into the client application and navigate to
- Help
- The select Customer Support
- In the new window that appears, select Test Connection Availability
- Next select Setup Connection which will log the user out, and allow them to re-enter the connection details.
A warning message will be shown when this option is selected. Click 'Yes' to be directed back to the 'Setup Connection' screen.
