1. Account failed login lock
This section allows the user to determine how many failed password attempts can be made before the user is locked out.
- The user can select a range from 0 – 100 possible failed attempts
- Select the relevant value
- Select Submit changes to save the settings
- The user must log out of Internal Audit and log back in for the settings to be applied
2. User display format
This section allows the user to determine how the name of the user is displayed.
- When user records are created, a value must be specified, however there is the option to record other information such as personal title
- When the user is on this configuration screen, they will be able to select the desired display and in which order the details appear
- Select Submit changes to save the settings
3. Inactivity period
This setting can be used to automatically lock user accounts where the user has not logged in for a specific period of months.
- To enable, specify the number of months without log in, that will trigger the lock
- To disable completely, set this value to zero
- Once an account becomes locked, the user will not be able to log in until a System Administrator unlocks the account via

4. Credential persistence
This setting enables a Username and Password retention policy for Internal Audit systems configured with Standard Authentication log in.
- To determine the length of time each user’s credentials will be remembered, use the value entry field and drop-down list provided. To opt-out entirely, enter zero
- When this has been permitted, each user will be asked upon log-in if they wish to accept the storage policy for the specified period
