This article outlines the configurable options for Work Programme risk assessment settings within Work Programmes.
1. Risk assessment model
This section allows the user to determine which Risk assessment model will be applied to a Work Programme.
- There are the following three options available
- None
- Risk assessment model is not active
- Simple impact/likelihood
- Users can define the scale for assessing inherent risk, which is not linked to the risk register model
- Default risk register assessment grid
- The inherent risk scale used is the default scale that is set in the risk register
- Select the relevant option and then select Submit changes to save the settings
-
Please note the user must log out of Internal Audit and log back in for the settings to be applied
-
With this option activated auditors will then have the capability to document the Inherent Risk within the Risk element of the Work Programme
-
To do this an auditor must add a risk Impact and risk Likelihood to give an overall Inherent Risk
-
Once the Work Programme is completed, the results (mitigation) will then be deducted from the Inherent Risk resulting in a numerical Residual Risk score
-
If the user chooses the option Single impact/likelihood then the user must configure the Maximum impact and Maximum likelihood sections that follow. The default settings are 5 in both cases
-
The Inherent and Residual Risk scores can be found at the top right-hand corner of the Work Programme and against each Risk individually:#
2. Maximum impact
This section allows the user to determine the Maximum impact for the Inherent Risk assessment within the Work Programme.
- Enter the numerical value directly or use the up and down arrows to set the parameter
- Select Submit changes to save the settings
- The user must log out of Internal Audit and log back in for the settings to be applied
3. Maximum likelihood
This section allows the user to determine the Maximum likelihood for the Inherent Risk assessment within the Work Programme.
- Enter the numerical value directly or use the up and down arrows to set the parameter
- Select Submit changes to save the settings
- The user must log out of Internal Audit and log back in for the settings to be applied
