1. Editing Business User Accounts
- To edit the details of an existing user account, begin by selecting the profile icon next to the user’s Name.
- This will open a new window that provides access to all relevant information available to update, within Details, Permissions and Roles.
- The Details tab displayed above houses basic information about the user profile, such as their name and email address. Please note that some of these fields may not be available to edit if this account has been created with Active Directory authentication.
- To adjust the information, select the relevant item and amend as necessary. To save the changes locate and select the Update button found at the bottom of the page.
- Alternatively, select Close to discard changes made in error and return to the User list.
- The Permissions tab determines the additional access rights that can be provided to Business Users if required.
- Tick the boxes next to each relevant permission that should be granted to this User and select Update to save, or Close to discard changes.
- The Roles tab provides a list of existing system Roles that may be assigned in addition to the standard Business User role.
- Tick the box next to each Role that should be assigned to this user and select Update to save, or Close to cancel.
- Please note that the Roles displayed here will be applicable to the Audit and Risk components of Pentana and may not be relevant to assign.
- Furthermore, please be advised that each Role will have a specific set of Permissions associated to it, that will be automatically granted to the user when assigned to the Role.
- The maintenance of Roles and the Permissions associated to them is discussed in a subsequent chapter of this guide.
