Assigning metadata template permissions
Who is this article for?System Administrators who want to assign metadata template permissions.
Administrator access is required to assign permissions.
This article outlines metadata template permissions, they can be created or amended in the Template Designer module within the client application.
1. Metadata template permissions
Permission | Description |
---|---|
Approve and Activate submitted templates | This permission allows a user to approve and activate metadata template designs. These templates are associated with a section of the software, e.g. Audit file, Audit Location, Test etc. and each section can only have one active metadata template. |
Download templates as read-only | A user can view metadata template designs, but not to make changes. |
Download templates as read-write | Allows a user to create and edit metadata template designs. Meta data allows users to create structured additional information screens within Audit Creation & Review, Work Programs and Entity Universe Planning. |
Remove template user locks | This permission allows a user to remove locks for a metadata template using the online admin wizard. Download locks should only be removed manually if the template design cannot be updated when securing a backup. |
Retire templates | A user can retire a currently active metadata template design using the online admin wizard. When an active metadata template is retired, the metadata ‘additional notes’ sections will disappear from the associated section of the software. |
Rollback Template Active or Approved status | Allows a user to de-activate a currently active metadata template using the online admin wizard. |
